I’ve chosen Bridgestone tires as my product.
Tires follow a CE model because they are often not wasted at the end of their lives. 100% of removed tires are recycled at the end of their lifetime.
The main principles to note for tires are at the far right side of the CE system diagram. This includes remanufacturing, as old tires can be made into new tires, and recycling, when old tires are used for other purposes (like playgrounds).
Economic: Bridgestone, by using recycled tire material, saves money as they do not buy raw materials or need to repeat the tire rubber manufacturing process. Environmental: tires are widely consumed, by recycling their materials a lot of waste is saved.
